Castrol GTX 5W-30, 2003 Chevy Malibu, 4,014 miles

Here is the latest report from my mom's 2003 Malibu. Mostly highway driving, put on in a fairly short period of time (around 2 months) Oil filter was an oversized AC Delco PF-52. Air filter is a Napa Proselect. The sodium is from the oil, not coolant. Looks really good to me. I guess the piston slap doesn't hurt anything.

Really, really nice results for a GM V-6, often they have a 'dirty' signature. Lots of detergent/dispersant in that GTX to keep the engine nice and clean. Held viscosity well, too!

Are you sticking with this oil in the engine?

Yep, refilled with another 5 quarts of Castrol GTX and another oversized PF-52 and I plan on running it at least 5,000 miles this time around. I believe it's already at almost 2,000 miles in a matter of only a month or so.
