All those oils you mentioned meet or exceed BMW LL-01 specification which is required for E46.

Yes, Castrol is Group III, PPE is GTL=Lower Noack and higher HTHS.

Castrol and Valvoline are both 3.7

Castrol had 3.7cP when KV100 was 14.2cst. Now is below 13, while it is still Group III. I highly doubt it is above 3.6.
PPE per some of their emails to members here is 3.8cp.
