9000 RPM redline + track days = burns tons of oil.

AP1's (2000-2003) tend to burn a lot more oil than AP2's (2004-2009).

5.1 qt's with (stock)oil filter change.
I have a '06 S2000 and I can go 8k miles and not use any oil. Most AP1's use oil and the harder you drive it the more oil the AP1 uses.

Ah, well not uncommon for race-honed engines to consume oil, the wall finish is designed to 'hold' oil for lubrication purposes, but it still seems like a bit much. Have you tried any other oils and noticed any diff in consumption?

Very interesting, my 2001 S2000 burned oil up until 10,000kms and after that no matter which oil I used or how hard I beat on it on the track, it never burnt any oil still up until today...mine hits 9000rpms almost every chance I can get...
