Central North Carolina climate (mild winters, hot summers). Mainly moderate suburban driving, with some relatively spirited highway and back-road driving mixed in. Very little urban driving.

looks great, almost the same as some UOA's i ran on my old EJ253 when i had a 2.5RS. that engine does well with just about any 30 or 40 weight. viscosity looks strong and still a little TBN...i'd keep doing what you're doing.

Any one else think that the viscosity reading looks a little too strong? Wondering if there is some oil thickening going on. Unless you topped up with the A3 version?

Looking at the bottles I used for the oil change and top-up included in this report, I see "meets ACEA A5/B5, C2".

Yeah, it has some fuel (395F flashpoint) and is still heavier than virgin:

So, either the lab is wrong or there is some oxidative thickening going on.

Great! Looks like the previous, thinner, oils performed just as well.
