This is Castrol Edge 0W40 API SN made in Germany I bought at Wal-Mart in a 5 quart jug.
I posted a UOA from another lab using a VW504 oil on this car earlier this year. VW calls for 10k OCI's
no matter the driving conditions. I'm thinking 5K OCI's are really unnecessary for this engine when using a VW 502 oil.

Man, 0W-40 felt like it made my 2.0T sluggish at startup but these UOA's look really good. Now that my wife drives it, I may use it again. She cant feel the difference.

GREAT REPORT AND THANKS FOR SHARING.

Does it feel sluggish compare to 5W30?

I can feel a very, very slight increase in horsepower with the 5W30 that's in my car now.
It's not enough to prevent me from using Castrol 0W40 again in the future if I choose to.

Interesting, I always felt clear difference between GC and M1 0W40, and now M1 5W30 and M1 0W40.
If this ESP does not prove as 5K oil, I will try Castrol 0W40 too.
