Here is UOA from my BMW after 4,600 miles. I changed it bcs. regular track season was coming.
This oil didn’t see track, but saw a lot of hard driving. Dropping kids to daycare every morning, 20 mile round trip. Picking them up, once a week skiing and pushing car as hard as possible in the mountains.
This is first oil that was put in after I installed oil cooler from 335. Cooler is brand new as well as thermostat. Oil filter housing and oil cooler lines are used. UOA looks IMO really good. Minimum shearing. But TAN is bit high. I have never seen TAN like this on Castrol 0W30 or 0W40.

This is oil cooler I installed:

I wouldn’t say that TAN is high. Next to that TBN, it looks good actually.

I think 5k is a nice mileage to cap the intervals if you want 100% top notch preventative maintenance.

could probably do 7,500 miles if you wanted or needed. Looks like a solid engine and good lubrication. 👍🏻

Is this Belgian Castrol (ACEA A3/B4)?

What difference did you see in oil temperature overall?
Yes, BC.
You mean after installing cooler?
I had issues with oil temperature on the track. Last October once hit 293f. 88f ambient temperature at 5,000ft, High Plains Raceway. Engine goes into limp mode at that temperature. Problem is altitude here. Two weeks ago I was at the same track, 58f ambient temperature, but oil temperature doesn’t move above 245f. I can hit 245f over mountain passes too. Oil cooler thermostat opens at 110c or 230f. Take into consideration that these engines in normal regime are running at 235f coolant temperature.
so, works excellent!
