This was the summer fill (April to October). This car sees the highway very rarely. About 80% of the time it's driven hard around town. I drift out of corners and shift at redline very frequently and heel and toe every downshift. I do drive very gently until the temp gauge reaches the middle where I then gradually start driving harder. Very happy with the wear numbers here, considering the car has seen even less highway usage then last year. I also ran a Napa Gold filter which I cut open. I'll post a link to the thread once I've posted it.

I'm curious as to why you send the oil across the border to Blackstone when there are a few great labs here in Ontario (like Wearcheck or Toromont) that would get you your results quicker (and cost less in shipping too)

Edge 0W30 could easily do 16,000 km no sweat in this application, if not more.

Wow looks like you already got the beak in wear out at just over 14k and now there's almost none. Must be a low wearing engine. Nice!

I'd take over three years for the car to even get to that mileage. I'd rather not keep the same oil in there for that long. The car's not driven in winter and hasn't exceeded 5000km a year yet.

I'm quite happy to have that junk out! That being said, rather than a well wearing engine I think that's down to frequent oil changes. This oil was it's 5th fill, not including FF.

Blackstone is what most people use and I didn't really think to look at other places. I'm not too fussed with the cost since it's just a once a year cost. Not that I'm not open to switch.

Well it's appears you used a good practice for cleaning it up quickly weather that was your intention or not it worked out great. Will you be extending ocis now. You sure could.

You don't say where you are in Ontario, but for me one of the nice things about using Wearcheck is that they are located in Burlington, just 5 minutes from my work actually so I can drop off samples on my 15 minute break and still have time to spare

When I first started using Wearcheck they were in Mississauga and I lived in Mississauga. So it has always been very convenient, just being able to drop off the samples as opposed to mailing them and waiting much longer for the results (I have often gotten my results back within 24 hours of dropping off the sample)
