Looking at the Castrol website, they have 0w20 in Volvo (RBSO-2AE), BMW (Longlife 17FE+), and Porsche/VW (VW 508/509, Porsche C20). Other brand typically only made 1 common C5 spec that cover these 3 variants, but Castrol has impressive -66 Celcius pour point for VW/Porsche and typical 204 Celcius flash point for Volvo with gelation index of 6.
Just wonder which from these 3 standards are more difficult to fulfill and why ?

Thank you.

I'm skeptical that it's actually approved since their website says "MEETS OR EXCEEDS INDUSTRY STANDARDS: ACEA C5, Porsche C20, VW 508 00/ 509 00" (https://bit.ly/3ok71O1), and their own .pdf (https://bit.ly/34yFIc4) says..."Castrol EDGE 0W-20 LL IV is suitable for use in gasoline and diesel engines in vehicles from the VW Group that require a VW 508 00 / 509 00 specification 0W-20 lubricant.

The product is on both the Porsche and the VW approved oil lists.

Typical Castrol reverse obfuscation much like Pennzoil.

Thank you. Can you tell me where one finds the Porsche and the VW "approved oil lists"?

Another euro thread that hasnt been moved to the euro oil subforum. Nice jobs moderators.
Folks - let me be clear: if you believe something needs moderation, use the report button.

Sarcastic, whiny posts do not meet the BITOG standard of conduct to which everyone agreed.

Point out what you think needs correction in a mature, adult manner, and a moderator will take a look at it.
