anyone have a good cars with high mileage i have a 1994 toyota camry 209275 miles change oil every 4000 miles with mobil 1 15w 50 i want to see whats happening in the real world

Highest I currently have in the fleet is my Dakota with 120,500.

Had an '89 S-15 Jimmy that I got to 160,000 before I called it quits - in fact I replaced it with the Dakota. Everything but the water pump was original and I used conventional 5w30 for oil changes every 3-4,000 miles.

07 Prius with 255k miles. Replaced one cell in the hybrid battery. Lot of little preventative maintenance things along the way but it's an incredibly easy car to work on.

Except for the headlights. Changing headlight bulbs is a pain.

My purchased new 2002 F150 has over 210k with still no oil loss between changes. Its entire life used M1 15-50 with 8k-10k changes. Trans has M1 ATF and diff has M1 75-140. M1 goes into everything i own including the lawn mower. My Brothers Honda element has over 400K

My 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee has 205,000 on it and runs great. It gets a 6k OCI with MaxLife.
I think the only issue it has is a rear window that needs a regulator.

Our cars are:
2004 Toyota Sienna: 188: dealer serviced up until about 160K when we inherited it from inlaws. since then mostly Napa Syn
2006 Honda Accord: 160K: owned since 40K . an every changing mix of 5w-20. Mostly synthetic in last 80K
1999 Volvo S70: 130K: owned since 110K. mix of xw40s in both conventional and synthetic. ( I don't consider this high mileage yet)

JRed, sent you a PM.

2002 Honda Accord with 225k. Honestly I'm pretty lazy with it and it gets it's oil changed when I can't remember the last time the oil was changed. It's a good vehicle though.

No big issues with the Sonata. Just finished up the usual 9k OCI with M1HM. No leaks, all OG stuff, and the car lives outside. Runs a 16 mile highway sprint in 12 minutes daily.

The climate gets to them before the mileage does. I make an effort to take care of what I can. A 1994 Camry with 209k has plenty of years left.

My son had 2004 Toyota Matrix which was given to him by his grandma about 5 years ago.
The only work done I am aware of was to replace front wheel bearing earlier this year.
About 2 months ago car suddenly died on a highway with smoke coming out from the engine and oil spilled on the road. Pick and Pull junkyard came to get it and gave him $100.
Car had 368K miles on it.

Not as big a mileage as some of you guys but at nearly 500k kms my W124 (originally my parents car) only had oil changes every 10/15k kms with 10w40 or 15w40 cheap stuff. It had a few sets of pads and rotors, all four struts, at least one bearing, flex discs, maybe a CV joint too and that's all i can think of. There's play in the steering box and the radiator just started leaking a few weeks ago. Everything still works, the interior it still very good. Can't say that about the paint however. Never been garaged, rarely cleaned, never warmed up and almost no highway use.

Interesting. Given the truism around here that the cars go to the junkyard with the engine still working, do you have any idea what the cause of that was?

No idea what was wrong or what happened. He called me to get him and it was already dark.
The next morning pick and pull went to get the car.

Back in the 80's and early '90's I had a Chrysler Cordoba with 231K when I sold it. I currently have a '94 Escort that belonged to my dad prior to his death with 207K and an '02 Escort I bought in 2008 with about 80K miles, it now has 204K miles. I retired an '88 Escort back about 2011 or 2012 with 518K miles when I quit driving it. The '88 was still moving under it's own power but needed work that I didn't feel like doing and wasn't going to spend several hundred dollars to have someone else do the work.
