CarQuest R95140 Cut Open

This filter was on a 2017 Chevy Volt when purchased used and probably has fewer than 50 miles on it. The car was overfilled by two quarts when I got it, so I didn't trust any of the other work they'd done to it and changed everything at once for a fresh start.

That filter looks amazingly clean. Almost as if it has never seen oil...

For the money you really cant go wrong with a carquest white can. They look much more better built than the napas.

I replaced it with a Wix XP (which has the correct bypass setting) and filled it with Castrol Edge EP 0W-20. Over 75% of the 5,000 miles I've put on it have been EV only. The range extender is really only used for long highway trips, so it'll probably be following the two year OCI by the book.
