Yet another relabeled OEM filter found
Everything on it looks exactly like the OEM one - even the round holes and pleats inside.

Mann-Hummel (M/H) is the maker of Hyundai/Kia (H/K) OEM filters.

M/H owns Wix and Purolator (the makers of CarQuest), and H/K makes filters in Korea, so they just use one factory to make them all, just painted differently and a different cover on the bypass.

Sure, yet this is an easy to get filter especially as a part of their combo.
Newer Napa's Proselect is never available in any store around me, so this is a good alternative

One thing that's unclear to me tho is that Napa's proselect is their lower tier filter @$4 and for CQ it's a "premium" @$9.99 (retail price)

And OEM filters range from 5-6.

Idk remember the efficiency on these filters, but the OEM wasnt built for efficiency.

I know if I ran anything other than OEM or Purolator Classics on my old Veloster Turbo, I'd get a tick like you wouldnt believe. I wonder how these new filters are, more than likely built as a response to the TSB from Hyundai about aftermarket filters causing ticks and issues.

Yeah, that's a little unclear. It is possible the media different in the NPS than the others. Without efficiency rating or test tough to prove. The lower price point could lead one to think that. Otoh, the one data point I've seen for Hyun/Kia oem, not especially efficient.

Someone should do a c&p of the 21334 next to the CQ and Wix/Napa Gold. I expect some post use anecdotes may be posted down the road.

I did one compared to an old white purolator.
This was the reason why I got a new pair of tin snips and a new can opener LOL
