that was purchased at a HYUNDAI parts department . Does the O.E.M. have cellulose or synthetic blend media like that of the C.Q. Premium 85334 ? Also what is the micron rating for the 26300-35505 ? Plan to do O.C. for '25 KIA Soul . Thanks .

I have had 4 Hyundai and Kia vehicles over the last 12 years. Used a bunch of the OEM filters. I have heard lots of people give the micron and efficiancy ratings of the filter over the years, but none are the same. Not sure Hyundai/Kia have ever published anything about it.

The OEM filters seem to be very similar to Carquest and Pentius filters. They all seem to be really well made. I would bet that the OEM filters don't have the more efficient media of the Carquest Premuim or Pentius XL though, so I'd choose one of those instead.

Here's a post with a particle count comparison between a Hyundai filter and a Mobil 1 on the same engine. The Mobil 1 came in 2 ISO codes lower (more efficient).

.
I believe it is possibly the same manufacturer for both but I would go Carquest with the complimentary silicone gasket.. They are cool enough to give it to you and the filter costs $5.84 after discount code before tax.

Yesterday W.C.W posted a video opening of the WIX 51334 ( bonus U.O.A of '19 SONATA w/ 2.4 Ltr. G.D.I. ) . Very similar to O.E.M..
In a C.B.G. video he opened a PREMIUM Guard that replaces the O.E.M. 26300-35503+ 35504 ( likely replaces '05 as well ) . He also opened HYUNAI / KIA O.E.M. 26300-35505 in a 6 month old video . Always read comments to hopefully get details .

From C.B.G. out of box video .
