Filter looks good at 5500 mi, as expected. Based on the inside of the can though, have my doubts about the engine internals appearance though.

yea, they’re old and tired. this truck has been in fleet service since new. it is a very “low” mileage unit for us but engine hours are up there. prior to me stepping in for maintenance these trucks got the cheapest bulk oil changes and ran for far too long. i have no idea how i thought it was at 150k
