Unsurprisingly, the filter looks good. I have two same application made in China 2023 with nitrile sealing gasket, not that I'm complaining. Purchased before price increase.

Thanks for c&p.

The Made in Vietnam filter looks good, and I'll try hard to buy the junk instead. Let’s go USA said in the correct way, not the profane way. Otherwise for Toyota I would use their filters etc. Decision done, waiting for the latest Fram Ultra with nylon cage to be cut open.

buy what you want, there isn’t anything made by fram/purolator/M+H that can touch a made in vietnam premium guard XL. if you MUST stay domestic i would buy a donaldson or fleetguard.

Kind of hypocritical when the Toyota filters are not made in the USA.

^^Acronym Finder had scores of "AFI" examples. None I could see related to China, Vietnam, oil filters or car parts in general.
Two of my faves were Air Force of India and Automated Fault Isolation.
AFI is also the abbreviation for Aruban currency.

However, I'm just bubbly with glee over the development of a solid body of committed filter makers.

edit: Posted After ZeeOSix's colorful post.
