I was wondering if given a same diff housing size , same ring and pinion size, lets say 8" Ring, 41 Tooth with a 9 tooth pinion, will there be any differences in the helical gear cut and angles? Is the gears for the car version quieter ? or are they all the same ?

Both differentials on cars and trucks have hypoid gears. They are used because they produce a lower amount of noise. The noise level is going to be determined be the gear's condition, how well the differential is set up and the mating of the pinion and ring gears. I don't believe there are quieter versions put in a car.
