Can this be fixed with PDR?

My wife came out to her car in a hospital parking lot to discover this dent. The local PDR shop is about 45 minutes away so I'm hoping to find out if it's even worth making the trip. Does this look like something that could be repaired? The fact that it's right on a body line makes me doubt it.

I believe they can make it look a whole lot better, but not sure they can eliminate it completely. Returning creases to original is challenging. I would take it to my guys, if it was my car. They can make it much less noticable.

You had to know where it was to see it after the repair.

Its worth a shot.
Call your guy, text him a pic and see what he says.

For sure, for someone who knows what they are doing its not terrible. I had the guy I use do a crease and body line damage down my Expedition pass front door that you would think it would be easier to replace the door, it was bad. He fixed it and I swear I couldn't even tell.

Edit: I dont know if you have any contacts with a dealer but they are the ones that use the best guys. Ditto vinyl, windshield and fabric repair people.

I agree. It can be done. You may notice it but most will not.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Unfortunately, the shop won't look at photos so I need to take the car in for an estimate. Now that I know it's possible I'll make the trip.

Very good chance they can.. if not 100% it'll be close enough

I spoke to the shop and they said if the damage is on a body line then they would most likely need to replace the whole quarter panel. I tried to stress that it doesn’t need to look perfect just better than it does now. I’m waiting to hear back if they’re willing to give it a shot.

A good PDR guy could get that at least 90% if not 100%.

The key is "good".

It won't be cheap.

Yes. Here is mine. Not 100%, but 98%.

It can be repaired 95-100%. I have a friend in MO that could do that for you if you were local. $3-400.
