I am leaking oil in my 97 z28, possibly an intake manifold leak. I plan on getting it fixed once i know exactly what the problem is but... I checked my oil and i am down 1 quart. My car has never been an oil consumer so i am definentally losing it.
I filled the car with 5 quarts 5w30 durablend about 2400 miles ago. I try to keep my oil changes at 3000 miles so i want to wait. Can i just add a quart of some havoline 10w40 until my oil change. I have a lot of this stuff sitting around the garage for a few months and need to get rid of it.
So basically can i mix 4 quarts 5w30 durablen and 1 quart 10w40 until my oil change and just keep topping off with the 10w40?
