Thank you, it's definitely felt----a bit subtle (you'd have to pay attention to it.) There will be more weight savings to come after switching to a lighter (and slightly wider tire.) The Sumitomo P02 175's on it are 17 lbs. which are among the heavier tires out there (average is 16 lb.) There's an VREDESTEIN 185 width tire at 15 lbs. I intend to go for.

absolutely, get the alignment.

No alignment needed if you did not change any suspension parts or raise/lower the vehicle. Different offset wheels only change the scrub radius.
