I went to order some Pentosin MTF LT 2, which I am a fan of, for my BMW M3 manual transmission. I also use it in my manual transmission FJ cruiser and I'm very happy with it. The place that used to sell it told me it's been discontinued and that Pentosin FFL4 is what's now used instead of the MTF2. The transmissions require a 75w80 GL4 fluid and the FFL4 is for the auto double clutch transmission. Are these similar and can I use the FFL 4 in my manual transmission?

I thought that Pentosin FFL 4 was developed specifically for the GETRAG DCT's and any other use is on a case by case basis.

If your transmission is on the list it's probably an excellent choice.
