(mount to hub structure) kickin' my butt.
2016 Challenger base brakes, first time off.

The rears were a smaller bolt, not as bad, but showed hot-melt looking substance on threads.
I still don't have a front out - literally 200 lbs all of each 1/5 of a turn - wears me out.

Normal? Should I heat? Alcohol release? Or just a crimped thread for retention....

I have seen a blue (more like aqua from memory) product on caliper mounting bolts I have removed. I assume some kind of thread locking compound. Can you get an impact on the bolt? Preferably a 6 pt socket?

Curious what the torque spec on those are. I know those bolts on some larger or powerful vehicles can be 150 ft/lbs or more.

Broke the torque long ago.
Now either pinched or compound.
Rears were white/yellow - a lot like hot-melt.

i broke a universal joint using a powerful air gun, but a breaker bar with no room for a cheater + me laying on the garage floor to use my legs popped the caliper mount bolts on my 2011 fronty with only 30 thou on it but from rusty massachusetts, leg power beats arm power in most cases!! torque spec was over a 100 add rust + it gets tough!! thats when those chinese tools break + 6 pt sockets are best!!

You need some real universal sockets, not universal joints.

Just use a longer wrench or extender.

They're turning, but it's that real tight, stiff turning now ? If so, it's workout time ! Or if you have even a small impact driver (not a wrench), it should be able to do the grunt work now.

If it would be difficult to get access with an impact gun, sometimes it's easier to apply some penetrating oil, turn it back in a bit, and work it back and forth, reapplying oil as required.

I encountered yellow "glue" on the bolts holding a steering rack once. Very difficult removing them. Broke head off one. Got a paint stripping heat gun out, applied a little heat and bolts came out like they were just greased. Remains on the threads so reusable for several times, if necessary.
