California Ditches ‘Unachievable’ Scheme To Mandate Green Trucks

I saw this article on MSN that California has withdrawn it's EPA waiver request to allow them to begin phasing in a ban on diesel trucks. I imagine there is a big sigh of relief in the trucking industry this week that they've gotten at least a temporary reprieve.

My assumption is that the current administration didn't approve it fast enough and CARB knows that the new one will not approve it. Could be totally wrong, though.

I honestly can’t remember anytime in the last year where I paid more than $3 a gallon for gasoline.

Bad choice of words on my part. Point is, they are taking (a lot of) money from gasoline users, and funneling it into diesel. Banning diesel would turn all of that upside down. Growers would lose supplements, and maybe put them out of business.
