I've hauled off a number of dead carpet rolls from my property outskirts. Some of them I was able to loop a tow strap, truck in 4L, both lockers ON, and Bob's yer uncle.

The backstory here is the butcher who developed the property used the very old farmhouse for fire burn training. (cheap and free) I GUESS they had to remove the carpets, but those nice people didn't haul them to the dump. They buried them or just threw them in the brambles. Completely and irrevocably irresponsible.

Anyway I thought I had found them all. Nope. This one was half tucked under fencing. What a beast. It's up pictures later. I'm taking a break!

Dog was good again. Love her!

And where did you relocate the thoughtlessly discarded carpeting?

edit:
Ever since I saw the "Smoke Eating Barrel within a Barrel" YouTube, The fantasy of a metal burning box or barrel which "burns" (reburns?) its own smoke has rattled around in my head.

Thoroughly burning old carpeting and mattresses without a trace is likely impossible.

Yikes! For a minute there I was thinking your pup alerted to remains in the carpet rolls!
Naw, I never find anything good. I did find two .300 Savage cartridges when I was digging my fire pit.

They are drying in the sun, then I will get the dirt off them and use them.....hahahah no into the truck, dump run (transfer station) next week.

Once at the airport I was heading for a nice vacation to New Orleans. I wasnt paying attention but TSA had a bomb dog sniffing, and suddenly I started getting alot of looks from multiple TSA agents. Doggo must have not liked how I smelled.
After I got past the document check, i was pulled aside and given 20 questions.
It turns out my shoes had residual fertilizer on them from over a week ago after I bought a few yards of dirt for the wife's front gardens.
