That may be showing pent up demand. However, I don't think Ford is producing anywhere enough F150's at the moment.

Pent up demand because no vehicles are on the lots. It's funny how you can swing an opinion with a single story or by a single omission. The industry as a whole is not in good shape due to the ongoing chip shortage

The Ford Dealer here had two F-150s on the lot. Usually they have hundreds. They can take orders all day long but THERE ARE NOT ANY CHIPS to produce them.
A percentage of those orders will be cancelled-just because of the wait. OR-if another manufacturer can come through with production some will be lost to the competition.

Also-I was in Industrial Sales for my career. My boss told me something early on-"A SALE ISNT A SALE UNTIL IT'S PAID FOR".

There isn't a bad half-ton truck.
