The energy and recoil not discounted, but the scope base needs another fastener(s) at the rear--design could be improved. With that said, the energy has to dissipate somewhere/how and securing the base would likely transfer more into the scope which may or may not handle it well over time.

The slide is already ejecting the spent .50 casing when the video begins. I wonder how far down range the business end has already traveled.

Could you imagine what the barrel on that AK would look like if it was fired as a full automatic.
