why is Bugs Bunny all ways wearing white gloves?

To mimic hands that he doesn't have because he is a waskily wabbit is my guess.

Because he saw Mickey Mouse wearing white gloves - he's just a copy wabbit.

The gloves were easier to animate and provided contrast in B&W.
