March 17th 2020, I spent 27 minutes with my Son on his 15th birthday, and at that point I realised I was unlikely to see him again...and was right. Was literally days from the first COVID lockdown, and I was facing it flying solo, kids not even returning texts.

There was a BRZ at the local caryard...reminded me of all the Torana's that I'd had in the 80s, trying to make them into cheap 323's....So I borrowed the keys, took it up the scenic hill next to this town, and got to the top with a stupid smile, looked over my shoulder at the absolute lack of back seats, and bought it.

Had a deal with the insurer that it was a weekend driver (2 days per week max), whacked some enginer armour 10W30 in it, and drove it weekends...only put 3-5,000 miles on it over the next 2 years, but with property settlment in play, I sold it last week.

Served it's purpose, made me happy, cost me nothing but fuel, rego, and insurance...

Looks like a fun car.

But I can't help but wonder if you were trying to get the best mpg on the track?

Man, I hope, wish and pray your family situation improves. Thankfully when you lay your head on a pillow at night, you know you're doing all you can. Positive vibes your way, Shannow.
