My brother's lap top had browser redirect malware on it.
I tried numerous solutions to try and remove it:
1. Superantispyware
2. Malwarebytes
3. AVG 2011 (full rootkit scan enabled)
4. System Restore
5. Hijack This
None of these could find or fix the issue.
I have removed many spyware/malware infections on many computers but this one was stubborn!
I searched the net and tried a program I had never used before.

I ran one scan and it found 1 rootkit. I did a reboot and the computer was fixed! I then turned off System Restore to delete all the old restore points and then turned it back on.
I have found a new tool for my arsenal.
