brown tires

Well, I've never used snake oils on my tires and they're all quite black.

My data says it's the snake oil, Armorall, whatever...

Korry,

The 'browning' effect you describe is called 'bloom' by the industry. As the tire dries, a component intended to keep the tire from dry-rotting reacts with the air by oxidation. That causes the phenomenon you see.

I would bet that those that do see this occur may more often be people that wait to 'dress' their tires until they are completely finished with their detail. Had they 'dressed' the tires before they were completely dry, I'm betting they wouldn't see 'bloom' occur at all.

Cheers,
Ashley

Anyone seen this cleaner product called "AWESOME"?
You can find it in those dollar tree type stores.
Its an excellant cleaner for all kinds of stuff.
Well I tried it as a wheel/tire cleaner here recently and the results were awesome to say the least !!
Would someone else look for this product and use it like I did and report back ?It cost $1.00 per 20 fl.oz.spray bottle.
Just spray on dry wheels and tires and let it sit for acouple minutes, then lightly scrub the tires and rinse.Let them air dry completely.

What do you see ?
