Broken mounting ears for AC Compressor Pics.

As stated these were broken off a Chevy 3.6 V6 in a front end collision in a patrol car for a local town police dept. The car was totaled, but they want to drop this engine into another patrol car that has a blown engine.

I wonder if its going to develop oil leaks due to the high heat from welding ? Or are the seals and gaskets far enough away from the weld site ?
