^^^^As said, I was responding to another member, never to you until called out once then twice.

If you want to present another side, do so, but do so without quoting my post that made no reference to you, nor was directed at you. That would be similar to your injecting yourself in the previous linked discussion post also not directed at you.

As for your presumptuous critique of my posts, really of no concern to me as I don't post them to meet with your approval. And as you seem overly focused on my posts now it seems you are trolling at this point.

Lastly I note you never once commented on the OP's topic post, which is the point of this thread. Perhaps if you wish to comment further in this thread you will do so on topic.

This is me right?

Until then, I'm skeptical.

Lets just drop this whole thing my friend. Have a wonderful day.

Time to go for the decaf folks. It's an oil filter right? No need to make any of this personal.

To the OP, thank you for taking the time to provide the photo's and info.

I must have missed that one before the accusation post with the incorrect assumption of a huge stash of pre tearing era P1s.

Guess that makes us even, on that one point.

absolute hogwash.

Disagree. Oil filters are not designed to tear, so when they do it's an obvious "anomaly". Something worth noting and recording.

Nobody cares if they do what they were designed to do ... it's EXPECTED.

Like I've said many times, NOBODY is going to convince someone to use oil filters that have the potential to fail. Said users will decide when, if ever, they will use them again in the future. So who gives a rip if they like or dislike a certain oil filter ... really, this is STILL a free country.

People can read all the posts on this chat board about this filter and that filter, then THEY can make up their own minds what they will use.

I think any reasonable person who researches oil filters will go with a company's products that appear to have a quality-engineering commitment and also good test specs.
And then people insert their own common sense, like the concept of less-bigger-particles-means-less-abrasion in the engine.

Combining those two thoughts usually results in seeing Fram as the winner. Most cases anyway.
