Brake, Power Steering, Tranny Fluid Extractor

Saw this homemade tool demo'd and thought I'd pass it along. I think I may make one of these for myself. Seems very practical!

Home-made Mityvac. May be good for extracting small amounts of tranny fluid but not a pan full of fluid.

Yeah, I guess so. I didn't know the tool you posted was available. Looks basically the same for about $25.

Mine has a silver line pump, it can be a bit of a pain in the rear to use....

Those hand pump/mityvac kits are really nice to have around for a whole bunch of applications.

I don't use the supplied fluid reservoir though, seems too small. I use a jar I drilled two holes in and put in a couple barbed ends. Let me pump in a lot more fluid

Need to invent something like that but without a small jar. A gallon sized jug would work. No hand pump but an electric tire pump with a toggle switch or a bike pump..

When I extract ATF from my truck I use the same setup but remove the hand pump. Then I take the hose from the hand pump and hook it up to my vacuum cleaner. Quick and easy...no hand cramps. I need to find a bigger bottle.
