BP sells ARCO

Hello to all,

Since BP is now selling off ARCO gasoline and the California refinery included I wonder who will buy it and take over? I'd like something like Sunoco gas to enter the California market to compete and keep the outrageous prices down a bit!!! Opinions please.

I think that all BITOG members should pool together and purchase ARCO. then we could bottle our own brand of oil !!! oil filters, and air filters!

I hope it becomes a regional California company. In Maryland, we have Free State and Washingtonian Express doing very well running on a business models similar to ARCO

yeah the new Bitog supreme all weather all driving conditions and comes with a prescription for a pill that cures ocd...HaHa pretty funny i would buy that as long as my prescription plan pays for it..

Unfortunately no matter what, the gas will still contain 10% Ethanol and its going up to 15% soon. YUCK!

[censored] this country...just can't get a break and save any money for my retirement. That's all what goes on these days. Save a few pennies and something we need cost a dollar to buy. You must be rich to live in this country.

GOOD!!! Arco has just beyond [censored] me off lately since they caught on to the trend of the cheap-o gas by charging extra for using a debit card. I HATE that!!!

Oh well guys and gals regardless of what you feel about ARCO it doesn't matter anymore. The deal is expected to be wrapped-up in a couple years so who will take over the So. California factory/refinery and all the gas stations will be a toss up.

I read Tesoro is looking at the LA refinery. I doubt Valero will buy it, seeing they already have a large LA refinery.
