After over a years work on and off the bow thruster is in the boat and working fine.
Issues were:
1) overheat thermistor permanently open
2) joystick work only to the right
3) new joystick (same exact model) need a wiring modification in the bow thruster wiring.
On the positive side I can now remove and reinstall it in an hour or two. It's under a medium size hatch which only allows minimum access. Much needs to be done by feel.
I know exactly how it's wired and where the solenoid is that I first missed.
Wife is happy there is no longer a bow thruster & control solenoid & medium 12V battery and DVM meter and jump leads by my TV chair.
Docking will be easier
