This filter would be for my Acura/Honda application.

Thanks

That's kinda weird, I thought they were all Purolator now, but that picture would make on think Filtech. My guess would be it's an old picture, and they're all most similar to a PureOne filter.

Yes, it's an old pic (2005) of a Champion Labs filter.

Recent Bosch filters are hybrid Purolators- regular painted cans (no grippy material), PremiumPLUS/Classic rubber O-rings, and PureONE guts.

I think you can get the PureONE for a better price from what I've seen. I'd use either one since the guts are supposedly the same.

Newer (now) Bosch Premiums as said, are basically Puro Pure Ones without texture. In this area, I haven't seen the Bosch with as good a deals/prices as the Pure One, which is what I'm running in my 07 Accord 3.0L. Bosch Premium is a good filter though.

You can check out the link to see a comparison of the older blue Pure One with Bosch Prem., basically the same. http://www.300cforums.com/forums/general-discussion/31190-oil-filters-dissected.html

Purolator makes them.

Pure Ones and Bosch Premiums are same thing.

Prices for them are comparable here.

Customer support for Purolator goes to us.bosch.com email address...

AJ - how did you manage to implode a filter? Did you use a hammer on it? :)
