Would this filter be the equivalent of the Puro1 or BOSS made my Purolator?...or a Champion filter? The pics looks more like a Purolator to me.

Looks decent, but Id expect a little more from Bosch. It seems that their quality has slipped. The cartridge filters for the BMW M54 are absolute garbage, yet cost the same as a Mann/Hengst.

The 3423 is more or less equivalent to the PurolatorONE series. It is not a Boss or standard "red can" series.
Bosch has contracted Purolator to manufacture the 3423 to their Bosch specifications. Nevertheless, there are similarities where they are acceptable.

Thanks for the trouble.
This filter looks fine and could have operated longer in that vehicle, I believe.
Bosch filters and auto parts in general are good quality.
I would not hesitate to put another back on your vehicle.
