Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun resigning

More bad news I guess.

United Airlines is asking pilots to take unpaid time off next month, citing late-arriving aircraft from Boeing, according to a note sent to pilots.
Nah - no worries. It’s a management tool. Flying is down a bit next month. It’ll pick back up.

Many of us enjoy not working now and then, this keeps the pay for the guys who do want/need to work at more normal levels.

Come June, we will be back to “all hands on deck” for the summer travel schedule.

Personally, I think the option of taking the month off with full benefits is great.

If they do it next March, maybe I’ll spend a couple weeks at Alta trying to keep up with @Sam_Julier

😎

And as a reward for ruining Boeing, he gets a $65 million golden parachute
According to many sources, roughly a third of Boeing's revenue annually comes from us, the taxpayer. This of course is just what is reported, just south of 25 Billion per year.

There is no reason why he or any other should get any severance, especially that much. Which means 6500 average jope taxpayers payed taxes for an entire year, just to fund his severance.

He will pop up somewhere else as the CEO, rinse and repeat.

And people wonder why the CEO of United Healthcare get shot on the streets, I do not wonder one bit. Condonable, no, understandable, sure.
