I think the Manganese should instead be Magnesium.

Maybe the elements got switched?

Manganese can be used as a coating or an alloying metal for steel and aluminum.

The VOA of the MTF-LT-3 on this site shows manganese = 0 and magnesium = 13. I wonder if the manganese is used in the transmission?

Here is the VOA: http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2727993

I think the manganese probably came from a break-in coating on the gear teeth.

I suspect the manganese level will come down in the future.

I agree with Dave, a very good showing for 50k+ miles.
