We went to watch the Blue Angels flying the Super Hornets at the Ft Lauderdale air show. They flew a very good show but half the time they were not over the water but flying over land and the tall hotels / condos blocked their view. I wished they stayed in plain view the entire show. The Super Hornet looked amazing in the Blue Angels colors.

I took very few photos cause I was too busy enjoying the show with the F-16 demo team, P-51 Mustang, C-17, Coast Guard aircraft, Lucas Oil biplane acrobatic performance that was great, etc....

Luckily it was a little bit cloudy, very breezy and not too hot.

Thunderbirds..Air Force?

I think that's a retired one that the USAF sends out to air shows. It doesn't have a number (just an eagle) on the intake like the current demonstration planes do. I saw a plane like it at an airshow in 2014 where the Thunderbirds did perform. The one I saw had stairs allowing people to look into the open cockpit.

I looked at my old photo and with the canopy up, all I can see is that it says "AIR | SPACE | CYBERSPACE". It says someone on the lip of the canopy that I can't quite make out in this photo.

Old F-16 that Air Force recruiting uses for air shows.

I was hoping to see the A-10, F-15, F-22 and F-35 but they didn’t perform.
