Blasphemy- will pro sports franchises in the Northeast and Midwest start to migrate to the South and West on a large scale over the next decade?

Seems so many pro sports players want to play in the South and West. And the population growth is in the South and West (Illinois lost a congressional seat for population decline, NY was 64 people away from losing a seat). Can't help but pontificate if franchises from these cities will start to migrate on a large scale over the next decade. Population growth in the West and South, corporate growth in the West and South, and the players want to be in the West and South. Follow the money and the money is West and South.

Would not be shocked if these cities start to lose their pro sport franchises on a regular protocol over the next ten years :
Baltimore
Buffalo
Chicago
Cincinnati
Cleveland
Detroit
Minneapolis
Philadelphia
Pittsburgh

Green Bay is the one exemption. It is owned by its fans, and essentially can't be moved (great story):

Buffalo ain't going anywhere. Anything you've heard recently is saber-rattling between the team spokespeople and the state/county about a new stadium. They're going to build it across the street in the suburbs, just a question of who's paying how much.

Maybe Cincinnati or Detroit. The rest will not be going anywhere. Baltimore has left before but i think they are stable.

We've been trying to get rid of the Bengals for YEARS! I don't think the Reds are going anywhere, though. Honestly, I think most cities have wised to their stadium extortion, that's why the Rams are in L.A. (again)!

When are the Raiders moving again? Lol. Oh yeah Al Davis ain't with us any more.
I habe been a big Raider fan since Snake Stabler was the best QB in the league.
Then they went to LA. Boo. Came back! Yay?
Then Mark Davis moved to Sin City. See ya...

9ers baby!

I can't believe a deal for a shared stadium for the Raiders and 49ers didn't get done. It's almost criminal.

Have to speculate with tourism, conventions, and gambling.... as unfortunate as it is for the integrity of sports, Las Vegas must be projected as a huge cash cow for Raiders ownership.

At this point, I say good riddance. FYI, I live pretty close to Levi Stadium. I used to go to Candlestick. What a dump.
Been to 2 rock shows; the Dead and the Stones. 5 9er games including crushing the Packers in the 2020 conference championship.
My wife is a Senior Manager (decision maker) in a major Silicon Valley high tech company. Vendors woo her with luxury box tickets... Sheesh! We go for free!!!

Interesting topic, What cities do you think can support a NFL team?

San Antonio, Texas is one of the largest without a NFL team & I bet will have one in the next 10 year be it a Expansion or Relocation.

San Diego.....I guess they weren't too interested in keeping the Chargers?

No one lives in New Mexico or Utah, Don't think Tucson, Arizona is large enough & don't think Phoenix could support 2.

Portland, Oregon.....Oklahoma City....Austin, Texas....San Jose, California????

I’m sure many of the existing cities are still servicing debt on venues for these teams. For what?!? Some minimum wage service jobs?

As sports go more obnoxiously priced, obnoxiously overpaid, and woke, I say go scratch. I’d much rather go see High School or minor league type stuff for less money.
