a nice writeup about the vieux carre cocktail by incognito_2u got me to thinking about bitters. during this panic i discovered the pleasure of an evening cocktail, just one for medicinal purposes mind you, perhaps channeling my dear departed dad. i added peychaud’s and angostura bitters to my very humble bar.

please enlighten me on your preferred application of bitters in adult beverages. need not be sophisticated, simple is good too. thanks and cheers!

I do Gin and Tonic to avoid malaria. CANADA Dry tonic still has Quinine in it. Angostura bitters is essential for Bermuda Rum Swizzles. :)

Quinine is fluorescent and glows under black (UV) lights. Found that out when I used to visit strip clubs.

I will say a "Jam sour" with bitters applies to us old guys (and ladies).

I've been told I'm an old man liking scotch (I'm 38). This is sweet sour and in between....enjoy
