Bigger/Longer filter for PureOne PL14006??

Anybody have an answer for this?

Does it have to be in a PureOne? There are two quart Chevy filters ..but I think that they're the bigger gasket (old) style. They don't come in a PureOne, iirc.

There are a few 5.xx" long filters.

L30015 - no PureOne (has bypass ..but so what? Your in block bypass trumps it)

L30005 - no PureOne

Here's all the 13/16-16 thread filters from Donaldson. You can try the numbers in Wix and Purolator ..but those above were the 5.xx" versions with your gasket size.

Thanks for the reply, Gary. Now I have some homework to do. When I changed the filter tonight I didn't have a lot of side clearance so I'm going to have to consider that in the search. Thanks a bunch for the info!!

A 15288 Purolator fits in the place of a 14006. Getting one shouldn't be difficult because most Cadillac V8 engines from the 1980s until recently used one.

FWIW,I noticed the oil filter on the 3.8 GM was a bit short and I saw that a much longer filter would fit.so I changed the pure one PL-10111 to the larger napa gold 1036,with still 2" left for more length.
