Big Iguanas roaming around here in Florida

Had a huge one in my carport about 15 years ago. This was 10 miles east of Tampa kinda in the the suburbs. Put it in back to figure out what to do with it and it took off in brush. About 5 foot long.

they are all over Palm Beach International airport. When I leave for the day, quite often 10 of em will be hanging around the lake

I guess I'm just different (again) in thinking that they make a cool, interesting pet.

I've been in FL for 7 years now and have never seen one yet. That, and an alligator in a pool would be awesome.

It gets cool in north FL during the winter so they like to stay in the south.

I’ve seen that guy on Boca Grande. He gets paid to kill them. They destroy bird nests. There were very few birds on the island. Residents call him when they see one.

Although possible, Adult Green Iguana rarely eat protein.
