Question for long time users of TP or paper towel bypass filters:

What physical characteristics of paper are preferred for the toilet paper and paper towel filters?

Hard sheets in a dense roll?

Soft, "fuzzy" sheets?

Medium rolls?

Advice will be greatly appreciated.

( I have both types of housing in use for oil bypass. Motor Guard and Gulf Coast.)

The "best" would be a very dense roll...single ply.

I think paper towels work because they have so much "volume" of material, but I'll bet a roll of brown single-ply paper towels (such as found in cheaper restroom dispensers) would be a major step up.

IIRC, someone built a custom Fleetguard/MG 750 to hold those large rolls of paper towels at some point.
