Best rust removal on wheel

Hi
I have a small amount of rust in the corner of my rims
What is the best way to remove and prevent it from coming back

Those don't look like steel wheels so it is probably only brake dust. Try a little simple green and a small brush, don't leave it on there too long it will stain the coating and make sure to rinse it off thoroughly.

Just wondering if goo gone might work and I have some
The ingredients look similar
 
I have no idea, I can only tell you what I have used that is relatively harmless to clear coats and coatings. I am sure there are some cleaners that are much stonger but they may destroy the finish. Simple Green Aero is also very safe for aluminum and clear coat.

5-7 on each wheel and very happy
I do see a few spots that I missed but my brush wore out and I’m an old man
Rome wasn’t built in a day
