Best oil for 3.0 Ranger

Out of these 3 oils, which one would be best to use in a 1999 Ranger with 3.0 engine. Mostly highway driving, with 3000 mile oil changes.

Dino Valvoline, Motorcraft synthetic blend or Valvoline Durablend ???

Motorcraft. It has produced great used oil analysis. IIRC, there's a used oil analysis of the Motorcraft in that very same engine over in the used oil analysis section...

I'll second that suggestion. I'm doing some maintenance on a friend's '03 Ranger 3.0L and have been using Motorcraft's 5W-20 with a FL400s filter and everything is running perfectly.

Buy all that stuff at Walmart and you can change your oil for about $10.00.

Gee Hal , the Motorcraft is the best deal. But at 3k OCIs just about any oil will do.

Push that MC to 4k and get your money's worth.

With highway driving I bet you can easily get 4000, maybe 5000, out of Maxlife or Durablend, and presumably the Motorcraft, and a few others too.

I had 1998 Ranger with the same engine. It had 120K miles when I sold it to my brother-in-law and now has about 160K miles, always used Mobil 1 5w30 with 5K OCI. Never once in the shop and never burns oil. I even used it in the summer to pull trailors that weighed about 5-6K pounds and my BIL does the same. No problems.
