Best Lubricant for Samsonite Suitcase Casters and Wheels

I'll have to get a can of this and Triflow and add it to my collection. Will be helpful when rebuilding, if possible. I'll post pics when I take the casters apart.
I’ll be surprised if you can get them apart. Please show how if/when you do? I travel enough that my bags see some miles on their wheels and servicing them better would be useful!

None?

I’d go super lube. Which is worthwhile having. It is more compatible/plastic safe from what I’ve seen.

I had to lube a suitcase like that once, and I used corrosionx, which is a great product. It crept and destroyed the plastic/rubber portion of the wheels.

Silicone may work ok, but if it’s really lining metal bearings in a metal race, that isn’t a job for silicone as I recall.
Agree, good stuff, wont negatively affect anything, its also NSF food safe (or some versions of it)

I sense a YouTube video in the making.

Replacing it with a Hartman. Tweed, not the jazzed up samsonite. I was going through cheap bags every few years as much as I travel and dumped $400 for a carry on and haven’t looked back. I’d also take a pick and some brake cleaner in between the wheels before you lube it. I’ve done that a few times and the amount of hair you can pull out is astounding. I just bought the wife a new long journey tweed Hartman and 1 trip it looks like a well used bag, from the bag toss Olympics. I travel by air around 20k miles a year and have learned that you get what you pay for.
