Wrong and wrong.
High silicon levels are common with K+N type filters, and cleaning MAFs is necessary initially after oiling them for a few weeks, and later because of dust.


There are cases here with high silicon numbers on used oil analysis, but there are many that have reasonable (and good!) numbers using K&N as well.

Cleaning MAFs is not necessary without symptoms of a problem.
