Bearing or Axle Noise, 89 Celebrity 4 cyl 3 speed auto

I've got a weird clunking noise from the drivetrain, one that I can feel in my seat. Seems like it's tied to the wheel rotation. I've got the front end jacked and blocked, and by sounding it's not from the transmission case (so I don't think it's the final drive). All that's left are the half shafts and bearings, and I replaced the half shafts 4 months ago. I think it's from the right side, but I'll verify by dropping the left side and using the engine to rotate the right side only. How do I tell if it's the axle or the bearing? I can't use my sounding by iron rod method on the spinning axle shaft.
