I'm not able to attend the huge re-enactment they're having at the National Park itself, but I did attend a local one over the weekend. If you're at all into history, I highly recommend visiting Gettysburg if you're ever in the area.

Reenactments are pretty neat. Would be a great one to see, but probably will be really crowded. It would be neat if they had a documentary on it.

The write-up in American Rifleman is pretty good this month.

I harken back to the first real/longest "paper" I wrote - middle school, aka jr high at the time. Huge volume on the civil war. I should have kept that "masterpiece"

I go every summer, read they are expecting between 700,000 to 1 million people visiting this summer. Park is soo well preserved and maintained. If anybody ever gets a chance--get there and you truly will be wowed!! Another neat thing about Pennsylvania!

My older son is a real big fan of that place, and it's history.

He will get out there EVERY chance he gets, even if nothing, and no re-enactments are going on at the time.
