Battery + Wood ?

hey,.

I picked up Car battery made by Energizer / Jonson..
But my OEM Mazda battery was taller ... so bracket didn't hold it .. so what i did i stacked pice of wood between bracket and battery and tighten down

i guess it can stay this way ?

but i rather get a after market bracket any idea where to look for it ?

did you get a group 26R instead of a 35? they make adapters that should come with most 26R's that make them the same height as 35's.

Yes there was this plastic element on top is that a adapter ??

the plastic element is the height adapter. the 26R was one of the options, we jsut install the group 35 for the RX8 because it has 650CCA.

the one that i got is 700CCA

is there difference between size ( height ) in 26R and 35 ?
i will put that height adapter tomorrow it will look clean no wood lmao

In retrospect, one should get the largest battery that will fit in the tray. This helps with battery life.

If you did a good job, it will be fine for at least the life of the battery. You are not interested in mass production, just getting the job done correctly.
BTW loose batteries puke in a short time. They don't like vibration at all.
